Oversees departments of Purchasing, Materials, and Quality Control.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Managing all materials to ensure no delays in them manufacturing process or with customer service orders
- Review all production requisitions prior to distribution to buyers
- Purchasing of all mechanical components
- Researching and qualifying vendors associated with mechanical components
- Negotiate contracts involving both purchased components and services
- Perform cost analysis involving major components and reporting and major cost increases to sales and project managers
- Review and approve all contracts/purchase orders
- Monitoring and supporting inventory levels
- React and resolve any issues dealing with rejected components
- React and resolve any issues dealing with receipt of components whether it be documentation or damaged goods
- Review and maintain all inspection reports associated with major components
- Review and act upon all reports associated with purchasing, inventory control, and quality control
- Review and approve all freight invoices associated with either incoming or outgoing components
- Monitor and ensure the prompt calibration of tools and instruments associated with the inspection and testing processes
- Attending meetings for new system sales, system cost analysis, and production status
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-7 years of proven experience as a materials manager in a manufacturing environment
- Organization, computer and leadership skills
- Vendor management skills
- Ability to communicate with vendors and all departments within Energy Sciences
- Decision and problem-solving capabilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
