```Duties```
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and taking impressions
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical record systems (such as Epic)
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar
```Skills```
- Proficient in dental assisting techniques, including chairside assisting, four-handed dentistry, and assisting with pediatric patients
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic technique to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Ability to take accurate vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature
- Experience with dental x-ray equipment and techniques for capturing diagnostic images
- Familiarity with medical imaging software for reviewing and analyzing x-rays
- Strong organizational skills to manage patient records, including updating medical histories and treatment plans
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds
