Summary of Position:
The Social Media Manager is responsible for managing, maintaining and growing the NKBA | KBIS social platforms. This position works directly with internal departments to develop and execute social strategies that support new and ongoing initiatives for the Association. This position requires a self-motivated individual who excels at organization and can handle several projects at one time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead social strategy, including identifying opportunities for audience and traffic growth across all social platforms and managing our content calendar
Generate daily/weekly content for NKBA social platforms, balancing brand, editorial, & campaign content across all channels
Maximize use of social platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, etc. in alignment with business goals
Promote social efforts across departments (i.e., marketing, sales, events)
Manage and maintain private groups, community and customer service on social
Analyze performance of our social content and provide insight to the team on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis
Monitor client and competitor activity across social media platforms
Responsible for managing/maintain social media budget
Travel, attend and participate in off-site meetings, conferences and tradeshows to support NKBA and its affiliated businesses.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
Education & Skills:
BA in one of the following fields: Business, Communication, Marketing, or other related discipline. (Preferred)
2-3 years experience in social media management. (Required)
Ability to understand, apply and use social scheduling and analytic tools such as HeyOrca, Sprout Social, Publer, etc.
Experience using WordPress or CMS to manage or process updates for web based projects (required).
Ability to manage multiple priorities and demanding timelines.
Knowledge of digital file formats for imagery and video is required.
Experience with web-based project management tools, Asana platform is preferred.
Excellent planning, organizational and project management skills with a strong attention to detail.
Proactive self-starter with ability to handle multiple projects at once, when necessary.
Ability to work collaboratively with other team members to meet deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Requirements
- Hybrid Workplace: Works in both a standard office environment with some remote work opportunities. Employees are required to travel to the HQ as needed for all staff & department meetings, events, quarterly all staff events, etc. as needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds, on occasion as needed, such as office products and supplies.
Must be willing to travel overnight a few times per year (< 10% travel) and work overtime when required as per business needs.
Must be within a reasonable commute.
