Position summary
The Facility Manager provides site and customer oversight, maintenance support and management for the Data Center and/or campus. Maintains all mechanical, electrical, and IT systems in the facility in support of our customers. Direct Supervision of the Data Center Support Technician (DCST) team if applicable and provides coordinated direction over all data center facility repairs and change/ install/ expansion efforts. Maintains the data center campus landscape and irrigation. Reviews, approves, and processes all financials and accounts payable for the site. This position manages and schedules the facilities Data Center Support Technicians, Building Engineers and contractors. This position reports to the Director or VP of Operations
Essential Job Function
- Maintain 100% availability in Colocation data center within critical facility
- Provides supervision to the team of Data Center Support Technicians, contractors and/or Building Engineers
- Manage staff providing schedules, training, preparedness, and growth
- Manages operation and maintenance of all environmental and power systems to ensure 100% availability to data center floors including building management system control and coordinating efforts with contractors
- Responsible for customer support and satisfaction

- Estimates time and materials needed to complete repairs and new projects
- Contribute to creating, tracking and maintaining operational budget for facility
- Review, code, and approve all accounts payable activity for the site
- May review and approve all customer charges for the facility
- Directs, oversees, supervises and inspects the work performed by outside contractors
- Provides for 24x7x365 on call support to provide continuous operations
- Manage all contracts, procedures and service agreements to ensure proper compliance
- Responsible for managing maintenance work order and asset tracking software, including uploading new work orders and processes as required
- Ensures operating parameters, maintenance schedules, procedures, are followed and refined as necessary
- Maintains all drawings, project documentation, and space planning for the site
- Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and company directives related to building operations, physical security and work safety
- Responsible for building management system control and coordinating efforts with controls contractors Write and track root cause of all problems and malfunctions taking corrective action and process improvements as required
- Communicate complex technical information to multiple people with various levels of technical knowledge
Responsible for increasing efficiencies and maintaining reliability of all mechanical and electrical systems
- Risk analysis and creation of scopes of work related to preventative maintenance and resolution needs on building and facility equipment
- Communicate to visitors, vendors, contractors, customers, and management daily
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, industrial HVAC, and Plumbing systems
- Strong team management, coaching, & leadership abilities
- Understanding of Data Center Best Practices and ASRHAE standards
- Knowledge of building system design, fire prevention and monitoring systems, electrical distribution and HVAC systems Excellent customer service
- Able to read complex building drawings and schematics
- Able to evaluate importance and urgency of projects based on cost, risk, safety, etc.
- High level interpersonal communication skills
- Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines
- Comprehensive knowledge of Office software packages required and abilities in AutoCAD, and/ or Visio a plus
- Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in a Data Center environment
- 5 years experience related to commercial facility and supporting system management
- Experience with building automation systems, implementation and management
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Bachelor's Degree and/or professional certifications in related field(s) preferred.Position Summary
The Operations/Security Supervisor helps maintain and improve the physical facility, responds to customer requests, performs basic data communications tasks, and oversees the operations/security team.
The position reports to the Data Center Facility Manager.
Essential Job Functions
· Respond to customer remote hands requests. Power cycle equipment, replace memory or disk drives, etc.
· Competence in building management, access control, video management and other data center application systems.
· Configure and install video cameras and physical access controllers.
· Help maintain cleanliness and appearance of data center.
· Provide training and oversight for contract operations staff.
· Relieve and back-up operations staff member while rounds are being conducted.
· Interact with and assist contractors performing tasks at the data center.
· Assist sales manager while touring prospective customers.
· Provision customer suites for new customers.
o Install power modules.
o Run copper and fiber cable between communications devices.
o Terminate Cat-5e cables (RJ-45), test circuit continuity.
o Label and document network cabling.
· Second-level escalation point for all data center operations issues including afterhours support.
· Fill in for Facility Manager in their absence.
· Assist in annual audits.
· Periodic maintenance and enhancement projects.
· Refined customer service orientation.
· Perform troubleshooting and fault assessment on electrical and mechanical systems.
Qualifications
· High School diploma or GED required; College degree preferred.
· Technical background, computers, Microsoft office applications, Network fundamentals. TCP/IP.
· Experience in data center or customer service positions preferred.
· Attention to detail.
· Above average verbal and written communications skills.
· Analytical and problem-solving capability.

Pay: $135,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
