- Contributes to the strategic development of the CE engagements calendar
- Responsible for end-to-end event planning and implementation
- Tracks Budgets and Vendor Management for Events and Conferences
- Manage project plans for long term and short-term Initiatives
- Directs the event reporting arm of the department: development, track, and report key operational indicators; identify partner and/or service gaps and other areas of opportunity
- Effectively chronicles and communicates CE news and accomplishments to internal and external stakeholders, highlighting stories that promote diversity in events and in programming, and Healthfirst’s commitment to addressing social determinants of health; internal presentations Coordinates with the other CE and Sales managers to successfully close out engagements.
- Assists in the creation and enforcement of processes
- Monitors engagements and programming are appropriately on the team’s radar
- Coaches, coordinates, and mentors the team on building relationships with key stakeholders within the team’s sphere
- Attend meetings with elected officials, government agency leaders, high-level community partners, hospital and managed care leaders, faith-based leaders, and Providers
- Develops weekly and monthly reports; study industry trends in community engagement and event planning, scrutinize CMS rules and regulations; follow-up with administrative duties and responsibilities; Attends community meetings and programs such as community board meetings, town hall meetings, dinners and galas, industry seminars and programs.
- Manage Events On-site for all community and enterprise meetings/conferences.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
- Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
- Effective event management skills.
- Effective in providing exceptional customer service to our members and the communities we serve.
- Exceptional communication skills. Must be able to communicate with clients, vendors, and staff, as well as maintain relationships with important stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills
- Incumbent must be willing to travel throughout the five (5) boroughs of New York City, Westchester, the Mid-Hudson Valley, and/or Long Island on a regular basis
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution
- Exceptional communication skills and executive presence
- Knowledge of health insurance products and industry
- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP).
- Direct experience working for or with a health insurance carrier
- Solid understanding of direct acquisition and retention marketing and the metrics used to measure success
- Understanding of the New York service area and its diverse communities
Hiring Range*:

Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $100,900 - $145,775
*
All Other Locations (within approved locations): $86,500 - $128,690
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
