The Plumbing Project Foreman will be required to manage projects from ground level to final completion. Under the direction of the Project Management team the position will forecast and schedule field personnel, materials, and assign multiple crews to perform various tasks Works as a team leader and guide Journeyman Plumbers and Apprentices on proper installation, demolition of plumbing and mechanical systems and components. Attend project coordination meetings with clients along with documenting and completing all reports needed for a successful project.
RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Maintains safe working practices throughout all activities.
· Supervision of all Journeyman Plumbers, Apprentices, and subcontractors.
· Trains and directs apprentices on proper work practices
· Reads and understands project documents such as prints and specifications
· Maintain all company tools and equipment
· Plans for the most efficient method of installing piping systems and equipment
· Plan and layout of all plumbing systems to be installed.
· Maintain all daily and safety reports and documents required for a successful project completion.
· Install plumbing systems to current local and state codes.
· Attend project meetings and communicate project progress
- Writing change proposals for clients
- Writing RFI’’s (Request for Information) on projects
- Planning and scheduling
- Manage material, equipment, tools, information, and subcontractors on each job
- Ensuring quality and performance
- Communications with general contractors, architects, engineers, and owners
- Start up, commissioning and owner training
- Supervision of field crews
- Safety awareness, training, promotion
- Provide input and participate in formulation of strategic plans and their execution
- Understand, practice, and promote all company values and operational procedures
- Create As-Built drawings for projects
- Proficient with ProCore, Bim 360, Fieldwire, Etc. construction programs.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Understanding BIM drawings and coordinating with other trades on projects.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Looks for and communicates any safety issues with the foreman in each work area throughout the day
· Must adhere to safety protocol
· Must have extensive knowledge of construction hand tools
- Thorough knowledge of plumbing and fuel gas codes
- At least 3 years of experience in managing commercial plumbing construction projects
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 7 years of experience managing plumbing work
- Holds a current plumbing license in the State of Georgia
· Experience working in medical and industrial manufacturing facilities

WORKING CONDITIIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS
· Work involves exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises.
· Work environment involves extensive exposure to construction, mechanical and electrical-related hazards, or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
· Extensive physical effort. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds and extensive standing and walking.
· Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and scaffolds and to negotiate work areas under construction.
· Exposure to heights is required.
