POSITION SUMMARY
Senior Project Engineers shall be capable of performing work as assigned and are typically involved with the design of multiple element systems for full facility designs (e.g. compressor stations, pump stations, tank terminals, production facilities) with the interface between project managers, design/drafting, and multi-disciplines. Senior Project Engineers shall also be capable of being the lead engineer responsible for mechanical discipline specific detailed design aspects of the project.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

Coordinate efforts of multi discipline engineers, drafting and other project personnel.

Develop concepts and configurations for multi discipline scope.

Develop design criteria for overall project.

Provide technical input to design processes.
-
Lead engineer responsible for mechanical discipline specific detailed designs, reports, etc.

Develop discipline specific design drawing content.
-
Prepare discipline specific design specifications and procurement packages for materials and equipment.

Provide input and support with other discipline design specifications and procurement packages for materials and equipment.

Prepare detailed work scopes and man-hour estimates as needed.
-
Checking of project deliverables vs. design criteria and standards.

Provide teaching and supervising of others when necessary.

Perform other technical assignments as directed.

Interface with client during regular progress update meetings and technical design meetings.

Provide updates and reporting to project manager.

Coordinate preparation of multi discipline design packages submittals.

Competent leading project efforts for site layouts of various types of facilities, development of equipment specifications (fixed and rotating), development of P&ID’s, specifications of piping/valves, and other types of equipment and materials.

Competent with industry codes and standards.

Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers.
