: Recruiting Specialist
Non-Exempt, No Supervisory Responsibilities
Recruitment specialists are responsible for finding and screening candidates for open positions within the organization. They work with a variety of different departments to identify the best candidates for each position, then present these individuals to hiring managers for consideration. May perform other duties as directed.
Ultimately, you will be responsible for assisting with hiring qualified people while maintaining a positive candidate experience.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Create and publish job ads in various portals
- Collaborate with hiring managers to set qualification criteria for future employees
- Screen resumes and job applications
- Conduct initial phone screens to create shortlists of qualified candidates
- Train and advise hiring managers on interviewing techniques and assessment methods
- Follow up with candidates throughout the hiring process
· Interviewing applicants and vetting them for a wide range of roles
· Doing background checks and calling references
· Explaining the benefits, company policies and parameters of the job to applicants
· Assist hiring managers to hire the most qualified applicant
· Onboarding new hires and assisting with orientation
· Processing hiring paperwork and maintaining employee records
· May perform other duties as directed.
· Consistently work hours as scheduled
Requirements and skills:
- High school education required plus 1-3 years HR experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills
· Decision-making abilities
- Highly organized, with an ability to keep records and assess incoming data
- Detail-oriented, paying special attention to each job posting’s specific needs
- Respect for compliance and confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills when conversing with hiring teams and potential applicants
- Problem-solving mentality, with an ability to think quickly and shift gears in a constantly changing environment
- Technical skills that allow you to move efficiently through web-based technologies and social media
- A strong networker, with a natural ability to build and maintain professional relationships
· Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
· Must be able to multitask and prioritize department functions to meet deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
