Position Summary: The Assistant Football Coach (Quarterback Coach) reports to the Head Football Coach and is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in carrying out all activities necessary to accomplish the objectives of this sport within the guidelines of the NCAA, South Atlantic Conference (SAC), and the University.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Train, develop, and mentor the position of Quarterback.

Assist Head Coach in recruiting, instructing and retaining highly skilled student-athletes for the football team.

Assist with oversight and monitoring of the academic progress of student-athletes.

Reinforce and uphold team rules, behavior guidelines and expectations consistent with university, NCAA and Athletic Department policies.
Required Skills/Abilities:
-
Ability to effectively teach fundamentals, position details and strategies of football during preparation and practice sessions.

Ability to travel and recruit student athletes.
-
Working knowledge of NCAA rules, fundamentals, techniques, and rules of sport.

Ability to effectively communicate with student-athletes, parents, coaches, media, faculty, staff, students and public.

Exhibit ability to utilize technology (Hudl, Visio, ARMS)
Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree
-
Previous experience coaching quarterback at the college level/or professional playing experience at quarterback.
