Job Title: RN/Director of Nursing
Essential Job Qualifications
- Education/Training: Education/Training: Possess a Bachelor of Science: Graduate of National
League of Nursing Accredited School of Nursing; or three years full-time pediatric nurse experience.
License/Certifications: Current New Jersey RN License, PALS Certification preferred.
Other: Physical stamina, ability to lift and move children and objects and Microsoft computer skills.

General Contacts: Continual contacts with patients, families, visitors, therapists and physicians.
Job Provides Direction To: RN’s. LPN’s, Teacher’s Assistant, DSPs, Therapists and other ancillary staff.
JOB SUMMARY FOR RN/STAFF CHARGE NURSE
- Works directly under the supervision of the Chief Clinical Officer,
Administrator/Director.
Duties Include but Not Limited To : a. Delivers skilled nursing care to patients as ordered by physician. b. Administer medications and respiratory treatments as ordered by physician. c. Follows Doctor’s orders for medical treatments. d. Document and maintain patient’s chart as required. e. Observe and carry out the policies and procedures of United Cerebral Palsy of Hudson
County, Inc. Pediatric Medical Day Care policy and procedure manual. f. Maintain communication with patient’s physician. Responsible for tracking verbal orders and notifying patient physician of any change in patient condition. g. Participates in 60-day multi-disciplinary care plans. h. Administer trach care, GT care, ventilator care, takes and records vital signs as ordered. i. Interacts with physicians and ancillary staff as needed for continued nursing care. j. Assists in meeting patient’s specific growth and developmental needs. k. Rides transportation vans as needed. l. Recognizes and respects patient/family rights in a culturally and religiously sensitive environment. m. Maintain patient confidentiality as outlined in United Cerebral Palsy of Hudson County,
Inc. Pediatric Medical Day Care policy and procedure manual. n. Creates and maintains patient’s care plan. o. Notifies EMS if needed as outlined in Danielle’s Law. p. Observes infection control protocol as per United Cerebral Palsy of Hudson County, Inc.
Pediatric Medical Day Care policy and procedure manual. q. Disinfects patient medical equipment as outlined in United Cerebral Palsy of Hudson
County, Inc. Pediatric Medical Day Care policy and procedure manual. r. Assists in transcribing information on Daily Report Sheet and patient’s Communication
Book for parent/guardian. s. Maintain HIPPA Compliance Standards for patient’s and staff files.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $39.00 - $42.00 per hour
