Perform a wide variety of specialized duties independently in support of the school administration. Responsible for board meeting organization and minutes. Process a wide variety of materials requiring various procedural knowledge such as correspondence, reports, contracts, time records, requisitions for supplies and equipment, forms, applications, memoranda, and other documents.
Directly Responsible to: MYcroSchool Principal
Assigned Responsibilities:
- Review, check, correct, and compile a variety of information and reports.
- Verify data for accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain a variety of records.
- Organize, process, and print reports and other written materials.
- Process a wide variety of materials such as correspondence, reports, contracts, forms, applications, memoranda, and other documents.
- Schedule meetings, conferences, and appointments.
- Provide work directions to others as assigned.
- Independently compose written communication.
- Maintain confidentiality of records and information.
- Prepare all board packets for quarterly board meetings.
- Notify all board members regarding meetings, etc.
- Responsible for taking minutes and transcribing minutes for all board meetings.
- Relay information to faculty and students using a variety of mediums.
- Attend community events in conjunction with other school personnel.
- Provide support for Governing Board members and school based personnel.
- Assist with recruiting efforts.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Abilities:
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Intermediate/advanced working knowledge of Microsoft software
- Modern office practices, procedures, and equipment
- Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary
- Operation of a personal computer and a variety of other office equipment including calculators, copiers, and fax machine

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree or higher preferred
- Some training in business and office management
- Three (3) years of increasingly responsible secretarial experience performing a wide variety of duties
- Licenses and Other Requirements:
- Valid Florida driver’s license

- Sits, stands, walks, bends, kneels and uses hands, arms and legs for dexterity and balance frequently
- Occasionally lifts, carries and balances light objects
- Pulls and pushes such objects as file drawers, audio/visual equipment and similar office equipment and supplies
- Prioritizes and multi-tasks work and projects requiring good memory, concentration and analytical thinking
- Occasionally may be required to perform the safe operation of a vehicle
- Safely operate office equipment and machines
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing frequently with a wide range of people from divergent socio-economic backgrounds and origins
*Work Year: July 1st to June 30th; 225 Days
Salary: Starting base salary range of $28,000 - $30,000**
