We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bilingual Back Office Medical Assistant to join our family practice team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish possess exceptional organizational skills, and have a strong background in medical assisting and billing. This role is crucial in providing support to our healthcare providers and ensuring efficient operations within the practice.
Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical duties, including taking patient histories, vital signs, and assisting with medical examinations.
- Prepare and maintain examination and treatment rooms.
- Assist healthcare providers with various medical procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Conduct patient education on procedures, medications, and general health topics.
- Handle patient inquiries, phone calls, and scheduling appointments.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient information in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with front office staff to coordinate patient care and support daily operations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a family practice or similar clinical setting.
- Bilingual required.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medical coding (ICD-10 and CPT).
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- CPR certification (preferred).
