Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant - Mental Health
We are looking for highly motivated medical receptionist with excellent communication and customer service skills, strong time-management skills, professional phone etiquette, attention to detail and the desire to make a positive impact on the lives of patients.
You must have the ability to multi-task, take initiative to complete job duties in a timely manner and be responsible. It is imperative that you have an upbeat, yet professional attitude, be outgoing and enjoy working with people and patients.
This is a fast-paced outpatient mental health office where you will be supported by a dynamic and fun team. The receptionist is often the first contact a patient has in the medical office, therefore, the receptionist should be friendly, professional and attentive to the patients.
The ideal candidate will be interested in a long term position, have a minimum of one year medical administrative experience, must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, complete daily tasks from multiple providers, have working knowledge of insurance plans, deductibles/copays, understand and comply with HIPAA and maintain professionalism at all times.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- answering multi-line phone system and scheduling appointments for psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, psychologists and therapists;
- utilizing different computer systems: EHR/EMR with e-prescribing and scheduling, Google/Gmail Business Suite, internet-based resources
- taking accurate messages for providers and returning calls to patients;
- checking patients in and out, processing paperwork and insurance information;
- collecting co-pays and balances;
- utilizing electronic prescribing system to assist in medication refills/requests;
- prepping provider schedules/charts for the following day
- checking patient vitals and collecting saliva and urine samples;
- miscellaneous office duties such as faxing, filing, scanning, pulling charts;
PLEASE NOTE THE WORK SHIFT FOR THIS POSITION:
Monday - Friday, either 7:45am - 4:15pm or 9:00am - 5:30pm (exact shift to be determined)
Medical Assistant Certification is a plus (this is mostly a front office position with light back office).
Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
