Operational Duties:
- Provide post-sales support for Mountain Window & Door Steamboat Springs, Inc.
- Perform services on all windows and doors whether it be due to installation or manufacturing
- Understand correct installation process and proper functioning of windows and doors for evaluation
- Perform assessments of window/door issues and potential installation issues
- Travel to customers' homes and construction sites to deliver, assess and repair products
- Ability to safely transport windows and doors from supplier trucks to deliver to warehouse and job sites
- Help efficiently manage delivery schedule, route planning, being a reliable receiver of deliveries from our suppliers, and facilitator for outgoing deliveries to our customers
- Potential and capability to review drawings sets and perform takeoffs
- Establish ideal project schedules for overall timelines
- Coordinate scheduling with clientele prior to and throughout the project lifecycle
- Make decisions based on job site evaluations for windows and doors that need attention
- Fill out appropriate warranty paperwork and submit in a timely manner
- Use judgement in defending the company’s schedule and best interests when the client, GC, or other contractors request changes to the agreed upon timeline
- Maintain the project structure within project management software and/or other organizational methods, so that each item that requires accountability can be tracked and reported on easily
- Visit job sites to meet with clients or other contractors so as to build/maintain good relations, protect the company’s best interests, and review progress and issues with the crews
- Foster a culture of quality, responsiveness, a sense of urgency, and dedication to customer service and community focus
Requirements:
- HS Diploma, Bachelor's Degree a plus (or educational / experience equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years of construction experience required, with fenestration experience preferred
- Prior knowledge of general construction applications and terminology and window and door applications and components is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills - professional, timely, quality-focused
- Knowledge or aptitude to learn Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint (experience a plus); fenestration software experience preferred
- Ability to work under pressure calmly
- Self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks and manage competing agendas and priorities
- Highly organized with professional communication skills that prioritizes customer service and experience
- Assist in building brand presence in the community and being a good representative of our brand in positive and respectful attitude, attention to safety, professionalism, and personal appearance
- Ability to work well with a team
- Reliable transportation to and from work with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Reliable phone (may be provided)
- Ability to manage and maintain company assets, i.e. vehicle, tools, etc.
- A clean criminal background check is required; projects can be located at school campuses and government buildings
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
- Must be able to pass a tape measure assessment
- Must be punctual and reliable
While performing duties of this job, the employee:
- Must be physically capable of frequently lifting heavy loads (windows and doors) with proper equipment and support
- Frequent use of ladders
- Is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and talk or hear
- Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and frequently exposed to outside weather conditions
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
- Travel estimated at 10%
