We are looking for an Electronics R&D Technician to join our engineering team. We are seeking an individual who can help us execute product testing, assemble prototypes (including soldering), produce test reports, and other general engineering technician tasks. This role is an important part of our team and will help us accelerate the development and release of innovative products. Your exact background isn’t critical but you will need a good understanding of electronics to be successful in this role.
Daily duties will involve:
· Perform thorough testing and evaluation of electronic products, components, and systems
· Set up, calibrate, and operate a variety of testing equipment and instruments, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, and automated test systems
· Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, protocols, and procedures to identify product performance, reliability, and functionality issues
· Soldering
· Troubleshooting issues with test equipment and automated test setups
· Prioritizing and executing multiple assigned test cases in parallel
· Collecting and analyzing test data (Data may be collected using a DMM, oscilloscope, or via reporting software)
· Using a variety of software tools to control instruments and collect data
· Writing reports summarizing actions taken, data collection and analysis, and noteworthy observations
· Help purchase components for prototypes and help assemble prototypes
· Moving and setting up heavy equipment and cable (Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs)
Requirements:
· High school diploma
· 1+ year of electronics experience
· Strong knowledge of electronic principles, components, circuits, and systems
· Proficient in using testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and automated test systems
· Familiarity with test automation tools and software
· Ability to read and interpret schematics and perform basic circuit analysis
· Must be able to communicate effectively with team members
· Must be able to work based on a set of scheduled tasks and communicate delays in a timely manner
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
