The ideal candidate must have strong quantitative skillsets to support municipal projects in the northeast, primarily on Long Island. You will support, drive, and manage the development of projects, interact, and work directly with clients, and develop your technical and project management capabilities. Manage tasks/projects and clients’ expectations for the planning, design and construction of various Infrastructure, Roadway, pavement section design, drainage system design Water/Wastewater treatment plants, storm water systems, distribution/collection systems, and/or pump/lift stations, vertical and horizontal alignments. As well as creating construction documents, specifications, and handling construction oversight/administration.
Qualifications:
- 7-15+ years experience in municipal road and drainage design and construction. Waterfront improvement experience is a plus.
- P.E. in New York State is required
- Bachelors in Civil Engineering or similar degree
- Must be familiar with municipal contracts
- Experience in site civil design (stormwater management, grading, soil erosion & sediment control, utilities, etc.)
- Experience with managing a team of engineers
- Experience with interfacing with engineering, and drafting support disciplines
- Experience with client interfacing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Practical experience with civil engineering technology (AutoCAD Civil3D), industry standards water modeling, and storm water modeling programs
