Overview:
Position Summary:
This position supports the daily operations of Snap-on’s Corporate Café through food preparation duties and various kitchen sanitization and cleanliness responsibilities. Providing ongoing support to the Executive & Sous Chefs and working with the entire café support team.
All Café staff members (temporary & full-time) are eligible for competitive compensation, the opportunity to earn overtime, and complimentary meals. Job Responsibilities:
- Complete various food preparation tasks as assigned on daily food preparation task lists including, but not limited to: washing, chopping, and proper storage of food prep items; par cooking prep items; preparing sauces and soups; and assisting with daily specials

Completes ad hoc food preparation tasks as assigned by Café supervisors

Assists with putting away orders, labeling, and maintaining kitchen inventory

Cleans dishes, cooking utensils, and cookware

Cleans & sanitizes work tables and equipment
- Adheres to all safety and sanitation practices

Keeps track of inventory levels and communicates with management for ordering purposes

Assists in closing duties and cleaning of kitchen and service areas, including but not limited to sweeping and mopping the floors, locking up the café, wrapping and storing food as needed

Scrapes, rinses, and washes all dishware used in the cafe. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation

Ensures compliance with outlined safety procedures

Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
Work Schedule:
- Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, the possibility of required overtime on an as-needed basis
Job requirements:

Previous kitchen or culinary school experience

High school diploma or equivalent relevant work experience

Basic knowledge with cooking procedures and knife skills

Basic knowledge of safety and sanitation policies and procedures
