Job Summary:
The Kitchen Cannabis Technician is responsible for the production of high-quality cannabis edibles. The technician will produce various products including but not limited to, gummies, hard candy, mints, tablets and drinks while following set recipes and SOPs. Cross training in different departments will be available.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintains clean, safe, and compliant work area.
- Set-up and operate equipment including but not limited to packaging and manufacturing equipment, mixers, blenders, ovens, and dishwashers
- Work with high pace, accuracy, and efficiency to meet production goals at your assigned station.
- Participate and successfully complete company compliance training
- Adhere to all medical and recreational Arizona Department of Health regulations while working at any Flower Shop location.
- Properly utilize the inventory tracking software to record relevant inventory information for medical and adult use transactions.
- Perform production of all infused edible items as instructed by Kitchen Manager
- Maintain proficient, accurate, and consistent production of each product made
- Accurate reporting and documentation of applicable concentrates and inventory as required by company policy and government regulations
- Works successfully in a team setting, takes instructions well, and helps on tasks as delegated by Lead or Manager
- Manages time efficiently in order to meet productivity goals (Kitchen Manager) while consistently producing quality work
- Maintains the highest level of cleanliness and sanitation inside the kitchen area and participates in the clean-up of equipment, washing dishes, cleaning restroom, mopping, sweeping floors, trash removal, at the end of every shift in the facility,
- Other duties as assigned.
Quality Control
- Performs document review of Concentrate Tracking/Production Sheets
- Verifies that raw materials meet specifications
- Verifies that all documentation is complete and submits accordingly
- Submits all waste to the appropriate location for particulate identification and disposes of in accordance with company policy and state regulations
- Prep recipes weigh & measure ingredients
- Production: boil, mix, emulsify, mould, unmould, cool, sift, toss, coat, etc
- Inspection of all finished goods before packaging
- Tracks and reports all defects and waste
- Maintains kitchen safety and sanitation at all times
- Focus on cleanliness and organization

Education and Experience:
- 21 years of age or older.
- Food Handlers Card
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 to 3 years of experience working in a production environment or commercial kitchen experience.
- Attention to Detail
- Knowledge and understanding of current medical and recreational marijuana laws.
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting or standing for prolonged info of times
- Must be able to lift 75lb pounds at times in close quarters.
