Proof of high school graduation or GED equivalent.

Experience working with children preferred.

Flexible and able to adjust your daily routine.

Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Physically able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds.

Must have one of the following:
a. 48 hours of college credits, OR
b. Associates or higher degree, OR
c. Competency on the CFISD proficiency test (score of 70 or above).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Monitor halls during instructional class time.

Assist with student management in and around campus common areas during passing periods.

Monitor and report student behavior and student conduct in relation to the student code of conduct.

Report conflict or confrontation between students and disturbances to the Principal or Assistant Principal.

Record data for supervisory staff, such as student conflicts or unusual occurrences.
-
Report tardiness, truancies and other related incidents to the appropriate school administrator.
-
Check for students’ hall passes and tardy slips.
-
Holds students, staff and visitors accountable for school policy.
-
Assist with document preparation as needed.
-
Watch for and report irregularities such as fire hazards, security doors left unlocked, and any unusual activity.
-
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
WORKING CONDITIONS:

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including computer and peripherals; standard instructional equipment; other specialized and adaptive equipment used by students

Posture: Frequent standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting

Lifting: May require regular heavy lifting (45 pounds or more) and positioning of students with physical disabilities, control behavior through physical restraint, assist non ambulatory students, and lift and move adaptive and other classroom equipment; may work prolonged or irregular hours

Environment: Work inside and outside (exposure to sun, heat, cold, and inclement weather), exposure to noise, exposure to biological hazards (bacteria, communicable diseases)
