**Job Title: Hotel Manager on Duty**
**Reports To:** General Manager
**Location:** Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Virginia Beach Oceanfront
**Job Summary:**
As the Hotel Manager on Duty, you will be responsible for overseeing the evening operations and ensuring exceptional guest experiences at Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will primarily focus on managing the Front Desk operations and supporting various departments to maintain high standards of service and hospitality.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Front Desk Management:**
- Supervise and support Front Desk operations during evening shifts.
- Ensure efficient check-in and check-out processes.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Monitor room availability and coordinate with housekeeping for room assignments.
2. **Guest Relations:**
- Foster positive guest relationships by addressing and resolving issues effectively.
- Anticipate guest needs and personalize service to exceed expectations.
- Maintain a visible presence in the lobby to interact with guests and respond to their needs.
3. **Operational Oversight:**
- Ensure all hotel departments adhere to operational procedures and policies.
- Coordinate with security to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
- Conduct regular inspections of public areas to ensure cleanliness and functionality.
4. **Team Leadership:**
- Provide leadership and guidance to the evening staff.
- Facilitate effective communication and teamwork among departments.
- Support training and development initiatives for Front Desk and other staff as needed.
5. **Financial and Administrative Duties:**
- Assist in preparing nightly reports and updates for the General Manager.
- Monitor and control expenses within budgeted guidelines.
- Handle cash and payment transactions accurately and in accordance with hotel policies.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the hospitality industry, preferably in Front Office operations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
**Education and Certifications:**
- Certification in Hotel Management or equivalent experience is a plus.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
