Summary:
The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining relations with current clients of rentals in the long-term and acute care facilities of the designated territory with the goal of achieving the highest volume and profitability possible, consistent with assigned quota and company policies.
Essential Functions:
· Promote New Source Medical and its image by displaying the highest personal, ethical, and professional standards of conduct and performance
· Establish and maintain productive positive professional business relationships with facility Administrators, Clinical Staff, Directors of Nursing, and key personnel with assigned customers
· Arrange appointments, demonstrations, and DME (Durable Medical Equipment) trials
· Efficiently uses time to plan and coordinate customer calls, product demonstrations, and in-service presentations, in accordance with established techniques and facility/user needs
· Provide support for placement and pickup of company products including, but not limited to, mattresses and pumps
· Partner closely with Customer Service and Operations Departments to meet or exceed customer expectations
· Following the rental and delivery of a product, ensure that all required training is completed for customer personnel. This includes, but is not limited to, a demonstration of the safe and proper equipment operating procedures
· Work collaboratively across the organization and share best practices
· Meet monthly/quarterly/annual goals focused on the following areas: sales, inventory distribution, pricing, new account set up, and revenue
· Keep a timely and accurate record of all contacts, developments, transactions, and pertinent information and reports information to Regional Sales Manager on a regular basis
· Maintain current information regarding industry market conditions, sales potentials, and competition activity within assigned territory
· Successful market penetration effort with new products; expand business growth defined by sales plan
· Maintain key industry contacts, attend trade shows and meetings, and develop potential sales leads
· Prepare and submit complete, accurate, and timely weekly and monthly paperwork including expense reports, and other business review reports deemed necessary by sales management
· Continuously acquire and maintain knowledge regarding the features, benefits, and product specifications to maintain and gain industry competitive advantage
· Assess and evaluate trends, developments, and legislative issues as it relates to industry selling techniques and healthcare industry trends
· Develop a team environment that values diversity and uses various individual’s strengths to the benefit of the team
· Complete all required training applicable to assigned position
· Successfully follows policy and utilization of CRM (Customer Relation Management) system as directed by management staff
· Successfully complete projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Positive, pleasant, and professional demeanor
· Associate’s degree preferred; relevant experience in lieu of degree
· 1-3 years’ experience in sales/account management; medical experience preferred
· Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of customers
· Ability to travel 60% of the time; to include overnight and continuous travel
· Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations
· Excellent written and verbal skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to communicate with all levels of management and staff.
· Ability to handle pressure in a professional manner
· Valid driver’s license, in good standing with the DMV and must be willing to drive/travel within assigned territory daily. Must have no major violations in the past five consecutive years and no more than three minor violations or at-fault accidents in the past 36 consecutive months
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands; reach with hands and arms and lift up to 80 pounds. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
· Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products and technological tools
