Project Manager
Our Southern California’s premier commercial construction company, is seeking a Project Manager to help support our rapid expansion in the Class A office, medical, industrial, and senior living fields.
The ideal candidate for the Project Manager position has a minimum of 5 years’ project engineering and/or project management experience with a mid-size or large commercial general contractor specializing in Class A office, medical, senior living and industrial office construction. Work in the San Diego or Southern California commercial construction markets is preferred.
This position is geared toward someone who is extremely ambitious, motivated, and talented. This opportunity may lead to a larger operational oversight role with the company within the next few years.
In addition, a four-year degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is required. Candidate must be fluent with Microsoft Office and Project, and must possess excellent written, verbal and computer skills.
The roles and responsibilities of this position include:
- Overall delivery of projects within budget and schedule.
- Exceeding client expectations throughout the entire project life cycle.
- Assist with and conduct preconstruction activities, including estimating, scheduling, and document distribution to subcontractors.
- Management of design team and subconsultants.
- Assist with and conduct preconstruction job walks.
- Author subcontracts.
- Assist project superintendents with developing and updating project schedules.
- Process all client and subcontractor change orders.
- Process and submit owner billings.
- Review and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices.
- Compare actual to budgeted costs via cost report review.
- Request, review and submit all project specific submittals, including preparing a log.
- Process all RFI’s, including preparing a log.
- Verify and transmit all drawing and specification revisions.
- Prepare and update meeting minutes as required for owner meetings.
- Prepare monthly cost and revenue forecasts.
- Request and compile closeout documentation at project completion.
- Build new and enhance existing relationships with clients, subcontractors, and designers.
Our company provides an excellent compensation package including:
· Salary range: $100,000 to $135,000.
· Paid vacation and sick leave accruing from employee’s start date.
· Employer paid premiums for health and dental insurance.
· 401k after first 90 days. Employer match on 401k contributions after 1st year of employment.
· Company provided laptop or desktop computer with software licenses required for this position.
· Company provided vehicle with gas, insurance and maintenance paid.
· This position is stationed at our office in Rancho Bernardo. Some remote work may be allowed depending upon schedule of out-of-office projects or meetings.
