Job Summary
Site Monitor will visit worksites in Manhattan and the Bronx inspecting each site to ensure site compliance with all Department of Employment and Department of Youth and Community Development regulations providing a written report for each visit. Collecting time sheets and evaluations and reporting any incidents to Field Coordinator and Senior Director.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Travel to work sites monitoring program activities and safety
- Prepare weekly assessment reports in a detailed but concise manner that reflect field observations
- Collect participant timesheets ensuring accuracy and completion
- Cooperate and maintain a working relationship with worksite supervisors
- Communicate with the Field Coordinator regarding conflicts with worksite assignments
- Ensure the retrieval of participant documentation for participant files to ensure program compliance
- Interview participants at worksite providing supervision and support as needed
- Ensure participant safety and compliance with all Department of Employment and Department of Youth and Community Development Regulations
- Submit all required reports and documents on time
Qualifications:
Education and Training: Minimum academic and technical qualifications needed
- High school diploma or HSE/College student preferred
- Professional communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to interact professionally and effectively with staff, clients and community partners
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to multi-task
- Sensitivity and awareness to different cultures
Experience: Minimum previous experience required
- Two years’ of experience performing administrative duties preferable in a youth services agency/organization
Skills and Abilities:
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet research
- Experience with Youth Development services preferred
Supervisory Responsibility:
- Extent to which position controls, directs or is accountable for work of others
Physical Requirements: To successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Must be physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines which includes a computer, printer, typewriter, facsimile machine, copy machine, calculator, telephone, etc.
- Must be able to work, move or carry objects or materials.
- Physical demand requirements are at levels of those for sedentary work.
