Overview:
STEM teacher to cover multiple sections of Introduction to and Principles of Scientific Engineering. The ideal candidate will be an experienced science instructor, and will be familiar with circuit board work, coding, robotics, and entrepreneurship. Course curricula materials, and teacher mentoring is provided by The Center for Initiatives in Jewish Education (CIJE).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for teaching multiple sections of Introduction to and Principles of Scientific Engineering.

First Semester: teaching hands on basics of STEM subjects: electronics, circuitry, and coding
-
Second Semester: students will be involved in a collaborative team effort to take ownership of a group capstone project.

Students will present their capstone projects in a community wide event in the spring

Principles of Scientific Engineering is the advanced STEM course which builds on the knowledge of the from the previous year’s introductory course.
- Maintains student attendance records, grades, and other required records
-
Evaluates, provides rich feedback and grades students’ class work, assignments, and papers

Compiles, administers, and grades examinations

Plans, evaluates, and revises curricula, course content and course materials and methods of instruction, at times developing courses that are brand new to the school

Uses effective class management techniques to ensure effective learning.

Ability to interface and communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members

Performs all other duties as assigned.
