Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the end-to-end customer experience, ensuring strict adherence to company procedures.
- Coordinate freight bookings with carriers and arrange truck transportation for bulk items, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with cleaning facilities to ensure proper handling of containers and maintain hygiene standards.
- Take full financial responsibility for transports, including accurate and timely invoicing of additional charges.
- Resolve customer issues promptly and effectively, involving relevant stakeholders as needed for swift resolution.
- Address shipment-related issues through timely communication using Outlook and our Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Understand the implications of operational decisions on company revenue and take actions aligned with set targets.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize costs and enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor service levels, identify root causes for unmet targets, and report potential service failures to management.
- Maintain consistent availability during scheduled times to support customer needs effectively.
Job Qualifications:
- College education preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in logistics or transportation operations.
- Proficiency in using transportation management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1 to 3 years equivalent experience in the transportation industry (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years customer service experience required
Technical Skills and Competencies
- Excellent MS Office proficiency, especially in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Highly motivated self-starter capable of working independently
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to collaborate across organizational lines, from peers to Senior Management
- Efficient communication with precise details for instructions
