- Schedule: 8 to 8 (12 hours shifts) rotating every 4 weeks (must be available to work mornings and nights) 3's and 4's days per week (must be available to work all week including weekends)

Position Overview
The purpose of this position is to set the standard for the shift, assign people to specific lines and act as the technical lead for the shift. This position needs to be the strongest leader and process troubleshooter for the shift. This position typically operates one machine while acting as a shift production supervisor (working supervisor). The main function is to keep all operator safe and ensure the operations have the necessary materials to continue production. This position needs to be capable of making quick, well-thought-out decisions as needed to keep the shift running efficiently.
Essential Job Functions
· Safety Management:
- Maintain safety for all operators throughout the shift.
- Conduct all safety training sessions and investigate any safety incidents, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- o Opportunity: Develop a deep understanding of safety protocols and procedures, leading to roles such as Safety Coordinator or Safety Manager.
· 5S Program Management:
- Maintain the 5S Program and ensure compliance with all standards.
- Make recommendations for continuous improvement of the 5S program.
- Opportunity: Gain expertise in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement, opening pathways to roles in process improvement or lean management.
· Production Coordination:
- Coordinate production, distribution, warehousing, and quality control according to schedules, policies, and procedures.
- Opportunity: Enhance organizational and coordination skills, which can lead to roles in production planning or logistics management.
· Machine Operations:
- Operate all types of machines at the location, ensuring the highest level of quality within defined parameters.
- Conduct basic quality checks and maintain quality testing knowledge.
- Manage raw material changes and troubleshoot/adjust machines to correct production issues with minimal scrap.
- Opportunity: Develop advanced technical skills in machine operations and troubleshooting, preparing for senior technical roles or machine specialist positions.
· ERP System Management:
- Post all production data within the ERP system with accuracy and completeness, verifying all data entered for the shift.
- Opportunity: Gain proficiency in ERP systems, which is valuable for roles in production management or IT support for manufacturing systems.
· Quality Control:
- Make quality control judgments on any machine based on established criteria.
- Conduct thorough quality inspections and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Opportunity: Deepen knowledge of quality assurance processes, leading to positions in quality control or quality assurance management.
Training and Development:
- Assist and train new operators, ensuring they understand machine operations and safety protocols.
- Opportunity: Build mentoring and training capabilities, which can lead to roles in human resources or training and development.
- Make product change on any machine
· Personnel Management:
- Manage timesheets and attendance for full-time and temporary employees.
- Develop and optimize personnel schedules to ensure departmental efficiency and adherence to production schedules.
- Opportunity: Enhance leadership and management skills, paving the way for supervisory or managerial roles
- Capable of conducting all operation inspections
Collaboration with Maintenance:
- Work with the maintenance team on the PM (Preventive Maintenance) program and work orders to optimize yield rates and uptime.
- Opportunity: Collaborate closely with the maintenance team to develop skills in maintenance planning and reliability engineering.

- Minimum 2 years as production leader
- OSHA basic training
- Knowledge of plastics and/or nonwoven textile production
- Basic problem-solving ability required

Pay: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour
