Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation systems, with extensive experience in PLCs, HMIs, motion controls, and robotics. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our customers automation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using PLCs, HMIs, motion controls, and robotics.
- Lead and manage automation projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, diagrams, and manuals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation issues, providing technical support and guidance to the maintenance and production teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Mentor and train junior engineers, sharing best practices and promoting a culture of continuous learning.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in automation technology and integrate new solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in automation engineering, focusing on PLCs, HMIs, motion controls, and robotics.
- Proficiency in programming and configuring PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Emerson, Beckhoff).
- Experience with HMI software development and implementation (Rockwell Automation, Wonderware, etc).
- Strong understanding of motion control systems and robotic integration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proven project management experience, with the ability to lead and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or other relevant certifications.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Knowledge of industry-specific safety standards and regulations.

Pay: From $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
