Position Title: Master’s Level In Home Therapy Clinician
Department: Behavioral Health
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Reports to: Director of Behavioral Health Services
Location: Springfield, MA
Purpose: To provide intensive home-based treatment for youth who are suffering from emotional and/or behavioral dysregulation working in a team with a Therapeutic Training and Skills Specialist (TT&S).
Key Responsibilities:
Working as a team with a TT&S, provide intensive strength-based family treatment in the home.
Ability to successfully engage and clinically work with a broad range of clients with varied challenges.
Follow the performance standards for In-Home Therapy Services indicated in bold type below:
Complete a comprehensive home-based, behavioral health assessment inclusive of the age appropriate version of the Massachusetts CANS that occurs in the youth’s home or another location of the family’s choice.
Development of a youth- and family-centered treatment plan in collaboration with the youth, parent(s)/guardian(s)/caregiver(s), and with required consent, in consultation with other providers.
Review and modification of the treatment plan as necessary.
Review/update or development of a Safety Plan and/or other Crisis Planning Tools (Safety Plan, Advance Communication to Treatment Providers, Supplements to Advance Communication and Safety Plan, Companion Guide for Providers on the Crisis Planning Tools for Families) in collaboration with the youth and parent/guardian/caregiver.
Intensive Family Therapy that may include working with the entire family, or a subset of the family, to implement focused, structural, strategic, or behavioral techniques, or evidence-based interventions to enhance problem-solving, limit-setting, risk management/safety planning, communication, skill-building to strengthen the family, and to advance therapeutic goals or improve ineffective patterns of interaction.
Identification of community resources and development of natural supports for youth and parent(s)/caregiver(s) to support and sustain achievement of the youth’s treatment plan goals and objectives.
Phone and face-to-face coordination with collateral providers, state agencies, ESP/Mobile Crisis Intervention, and other individuals or entities that may impact the youth’s treatment plan, subject to required consent.
Referral and linkage to appropriate services along the continuum of care.
Coaching in support of decision-making in both crisis and non-crisis situations
Skills training for youth and parent(s)/caregiver(s)
Monitoring progress on attainment of treatment plan goals and objectives.
Overseeing TT&S in implementation of the treatment plan and working collaboratively to achieve goals. *
Make full use of collateral resources and inter-agency or referral records in solving problems
Work with wrap around model and Systems of Care.
Meet clinical productivity expectations
Compile and maintain timely and accurate client records according to JFS policies and procedures
Complete all billing documents following protocols and in a timely manner
Be available for client emergencies and respond to after-hours calls.
Demonstrate knowledge and skills in the following areas: The needs of, and the identification of, abused and neglected children and adults; child development, life cycle issues, trauma, individual and family functioning; working with hard to reach or challenging individuals and families; collaborating with other disciplines and services, intensive family therapy and behavioral intervention techniques.
Stay informed about trends within the agency, community and profession that impact clients and the program; provide programmatic recommendations.
Participate in agency meetings
Practice and promote cultural competence
Perform all responsibilities and duties within the framework of the Agency mission, policy and professional ethics
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Master’s in Social Work
Experience working with children and adolescents
Experience working with a range of clinical issues impacting people at various life cycle stages
Bi-lingual, Haitian Creole preferred
A high degree of clinical judgment, creativity and initiative
Excellent communication skills
MA driver’s license and daily access to a registered vehicle
Demonstrated ability to perform job responsibilities

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $47,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
