***This would be a part-time position working from 7:00 AM-3:30 PM on Monday, Wednesday and Friday***
SUMMARY:
Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of all buildings operated by Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont, Inc. by performing various cleaning duties in, but not limited to, offices, meeting rooms, reception areas, hallways, kitchens/break rooms and restrooms. Performs services required to maintain safe and attractive grounds. Picks up meals at hospital and delivers to Hospice House twice per day. Serves as backup for the Hospice House Housekeeper.

CUSTODIAL ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Cleans and sanitizes sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors etc. Replenishes bathroom supplies and polishes metalwork such as fixtures and fittings.
- Sweeps, mops and vacuums floors using brooms, mops and vacuum cleaners. Other floor work may be required such as scrubbing, waxing and polishing floors and the use of other related environmental services equipment may be required.
- Cleans and sanitizes sinks, countertops, tables, chairs, refrigerators, microwaves etc. Runs dishwasher. Replenishes kitchen/break room supplies.
- Dusts furniture and equipment, washes walls, woodwork, door panels, windows (interior and exterior), sills, fixtures etc. as needed.
- Empties wastebaskets and recyclables and transports to disposal area.
- Sets up, arranges and removes tables, chairs etc. to prepare for meetings/events both within and outside of the facilities.
- Conducts light duty maintenance and repairs as needed.
GROUNDSKEEPER ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintains sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, or other features; performs general cleaning and ice/snow removal.
- Collects and discards litter or other waste materials.
- Operates power equipment such as mowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, or other similar machines.
- Ensures proper hydration of lawns, trees, and plants using irrigation systems, hoses, watering cans systems.
- Trims trees, shrubs and other vegetation and maintains flower beds. Waters and prunes plants.
- Cultivates lawns, turf, or gardens and, based on landscaping designs and determines further work that should occur.
- Applies fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs or trees by spraying or spreading.
- Turns fountains on/off.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Walking, standing, climbing bending, kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, repetitive bending and lifting of items and repetitive arm movements.
