Summary
The Lead Manufacturing Training Coordinator is responsible for the development, execution, and advancement of the manufacturing training program. This role is focused on developing a standardized approach to training across all sites. The Lead Manufacturing Training Coordinator focuses on accelerating people to proficiency in manufacturing roles and continuing to drive performance and growth in desired competencies. They direct and coordinate activities of each project or program to ensure that projects and activities progress on schedule. They will work closely with the Training Coordinators and Departmental Trainers to assure consistent adherence to training standards and continual best practice sharing. This role is responsible for working with Manufacturing Leadership to develop and deploy an operational training strategy and driving execution across the manufacturing organization. The role is also responsible for identifying, evaluating, and implementing new training practices and techniques to continually advance the effectiveness of operational training.
Responsibilities and Duties

Lead the development and execution of a cohesive manufacturing training strategy in partnership with manufacturing leadership.

Create Training Programs focused on safely, quickly, and effectively training both new hire and tenured manufacturing personnel on their specific job functions.

Oversee the design and delivery of manufacturing Overview training and process specific modular training with proficiency tests for qualification/certification.

Collaborate with production supervisors and training coordinators within manufacturing to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in training processes, tools, and techniques.

Support production supervisors and production personnel in the creation and attainment of individualized training and development paths.

Instill a strong approach to protocols emphasizing personal and product safety in all training activities.

Continuously assess the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations to address evolving industry requirements and feedback from trainees.
- Identify training deficiencies and develop strategies to improve training methods, sustainability and knowledge retention.
- Collaborate with site-based Training Coordinators to create interactive, accessible training in multiple formats including written SOPs, PowerPoint with photos and annotations, and video with annotations that achieve a consistent delivery of information.
- Track organizational Manufacturing Training KPIs and develop action plans to close any gaps.

Identify and facilitate internal and external SMEs to deliver training needs.

Understand and support Manufacturing goals, particularly Continuous Improvement activity and established LEAN road maps, and the impact to training needs.

Assist manufacturing management in with the governance and administration of manufacturing training matrix and recertification timelines.

Promote common Lean Manufacturing tools.
- Provide feedback to trainers on quality of training delivered.

Assist in leading Training Coordinators at each site.

Conduct effective overview and process training projects in accordance to the project schedule, meeting deliverable deadlines.
Requirements

BA/BS degree preferred.

Suitable, relevant industry experience is preferred.

3-5 Manufacturing Supervisory/Leadership experience required.

Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator in a technical industry.

Track record in designing and executing successful training programs.

Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations, etc.)

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Ability to manage time effectively.

Ability to influence others and lead teams.

Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.

Proven analytical and organizational ability.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Working Conditions

Work or presence on the production floor may expose to possible hazardous conditions. Proper safety equipment is provided and its use is mandatory.
