Currently seeking a new member with a degree in STEM to join our inside sales team that has the aptitude and willingness to learn the ins and outs of the traffic control industry.
Essential Functions:
¨Answers incoming calls/emails from customers and responds to product and service questions, including but not limited to quote requests, order placement, status of current orders, item return inquiries, product compliance inquires, possible invoicing issues, shipment issues, and industry certification requests.
¨Understand equipment the company sells and be knowledgeable to make sound suggestions to customers. Opportunities to attend training sessions provided by the company and vendors to maintain knowledge are routinely available. Research solutions regarding equipment if needed.
¨Prepare costing for customer quotes by reading project specifications and understanding State standards.
¨Write up customer orders/returns.
¨Occasionally write up Vendor POs for specialty products.
¨Research customer inquiries listed above and respond to the customer in the timeliest manner available.
¨Maintain customer accounts by recording account information in CRM system.
¨Preparing and sending of Project Product Submittals to customers as required by the various states. Maintain filing of these documents in project files and CRM.
¨Correspond with customers regarding project releases. Follow through with resolutions required and communicate resolutions with customers in a timely manner. Maintain project folder, CRM, and accounting records as required.
¨Research via various industry mechanisms, projects to potentially bid on. Procure those plans and proposals. Determine items to bid and prepare take offs.
¨Interact with suppliers to gather special pricing if needed.
¨Follow up on projects as notified by the various industry mechanisms. Document and communicate this information as required.
¨Maintain CRM by documenting identified projects and help provide reports to salesman and senior staff.
¨Performs other tasks as assigned.
