Responsible for housekeeping of assigned wing rooms, common areas, and assisting the needs of the residents.
Starting Pay rate $12.00.
Essential Functions- Job Duties: The following duties are considered essential to the job. Qualified individuals must have the ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform the following duties:
- Be ethical, respectful, responsive, reliable, authentic, innovative and empathetic.
- Follow cleaning schedule established by the Director of Housekeeping for that day.
- Clean assigned areas, furnishings, fixtures, movable and stationary furniture.
- Empty trash bins and clean bathroom showers, sinks, toilets.
- Vacuuming carpets in rooms, common areas, and hallways.
- Disinfect floors, walls, bathrooms, Wash windows and furniture.
- Replenish bathroom supplies and toiletries for residents.
- Dusting and sanitizing surfaces such as baseboards, stairways, elevators, entrances and exits.
- Reporting supply and equipment needs to the Housekeeping Director.
- Stripping beds and reapplying resident's sheets to bed
- Laundry for the bed sheets and resident's clothes.
- Observations of residents and report of changes in level of care or behavior to the CMT on that floor.
Essential Job-Related Experience/Abilities:
- Ability to complete the necessary physical movements to move residents by wheelchair
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
- Ability to walk continuously, bend frequently, and sit occasionally
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally (1-33% of workday)
Exposure to Hazardous Conditions:
- Exposure to blood and body fluids is continuous
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals is occasional
Qualifications
- Previous experience in housekeeping in a senior living facility preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Must be flexible to work up to a 10-hour shift e/o weekend and holiday
