SUMMARY: To assist the Store Manager and Assistant Manager(s) in completing all operational aspects of the store to ensure Dirty Dogs quality standards are met. Additionally, to drive in-store sales and meet performance goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide excellent customer service
- We are here to “Make Tails Wag”! One way of making this happen is by getting to know each customer and their dog and going above and beyond to ensure that every customer leaves happy.
- Educating customers, Dirty Dogs is much more than just a pet store, it's a healthy dog lifestyle hotspot. As a member of the team you will be expected to educate every customer about proper dog nutrition, great products and our amazing services.
- Increase sales, everyday you will be interacting with customers and you will be expected to increase the total of each customer's purchases by recommending products and services that will improve the life of their furry child. The two ways we do this are cross promoting and suggestive selling.
- Maintain a clean environment. At Dirty Dogs we pride ourselves on the fact that even though we clean Dirty Dogs all day that our stores smell and look great.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
- Opening and closing of the store, with the support of a Keyholder.
- Checking in quantities of products received with orders.
- Ringing customers out
- Booking grooming appointments.

Work Remotely
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills with a proven track record of providing exceptional support to customers in a retail environment
- Proficiency in using Point of Sale (POS) systems, cash registers, and conducting retail transactions accurately
- Strong understanding of retail math and basic math skills to handle transactions and inventory management effectively
- Experience in stocking, merchandising, and product demonstrations to enhance the overall customer experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in English and Spanish languages is a plus, with the ability to assist multilingual customers
- Experience in technology sales, electronics sales, and wireless sales is preferred
- Strong organizational skills and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Previous experience in upselling/sales is beneficial
- Technical sales background and certifications are a plus for this role
