We are seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in PACU to join our team. As a PACU nurse, you will be responsible for providing care to patients who have undergone surgery and are in the post-anesthesia care unit.
Duties:
- Monitor patients' vital signs and level of consciousness
- Administer medications as prescribed by the physician
- Discharge planning and patient education
- Specimen collection processing
- Provide care for children and toddlers
- Family planning counseling
- Ambulatory surgery center care
- Coding and documentation of patient care
- Lift and transfer patients as needed
- Ostomy care
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of employment
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in PACU
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Experience with electronic medical records
