Job Summary:
This position is for an ICU float ED registered nurse who is primarily assigned to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) but is also qualified to work in the Emergency Department (ED) as needed. This role requires a versatile skill set to handle critically ill patients in both the ICU and a level one trauma ED.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide high-quality care to critically ill patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and using advanced medical equipment.
- Emergency Response: Quickly assess and triage patients in the ED, stabilizing those with life-threatening conditions.
- Flexibility: Adapt to different work environments and patient needs, often switching between ICU and ED duties.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in both ICU and ED settings.
