Saddleback Design, Inc. is a family-owned business with a great job opportunity overseeing the daily operations of our Fabrication Department. We specialize in fabricating and installing high-end natural stone, granite, quartz and marble surfaces in new construction as well as remodel projects.
We are looking for an independent, self-starter who can excel in this leadership role as the Fabrication Shop Supervisor. Minimum of five (5) years of industry experience required. We are a fully automated shop that is integrated with Park Industries equipment.

Objective: Manage day-to-day operations of the fabrication shop while meeting schedule, budget, administrative and quality guidelines set forth by Saddleback Design.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Recruit and select well-qualified, high potential team members that meet or exceed the cultural behaviors of Saddleback Design.
- Continuously educate and train department team members to ensure they are capable of performing all aspects of their position.
- Conduct annual Performance Reviews on department employees and develop internal or external training opportunities for any identified areas of potential improvement.
- Handle any performance issues in accordance with the established Performance Improvement Plan process.
- Strive to achieve a high level of job satisfaction for all team members and create a motivational environment for each employee.
- Continuously monitor the appropriate level of staffing for department based upon projected growth levels and identify and recommend hiring decisions.
- Maintain low levels of employee turnover.
- Serve as a leadership role model by anticipating and dealing with problems or recurring issues in an ongoing effort to eliminate crisis management.
- Maintain and repair all shop equipment regularly.
- Meet with Designers and Customers in regard to slab selection and layout.
- Manage and conform to all OSHA regulations.
- Keep department and Ownership updated with current technology and processes in order to eliminate cost.
- Manage the ordering, receiving and delivery of inventory.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Ability to perform the essential functions of the job in accordance with company requirements and professional business practices.
· High school diploma required.
· Minimum 5 years progressive granite and laminate fabrication experience.
· Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for use in dealing with both internal and external customers.
· Must possess a strong and professional code of ethics.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
· Ability to handle conflict and hold others accountable for results.
· Strong analytical and organizational skills.
· Ability to meet deadlines and handle time constraints.
· Capable of commuting to and from job sites in a timely manner.
· Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
· Computer literate.
· Bilingual preferred.
· Holds a valid and clean driver’s license.

Saddleback Design endeavors to reward its employee team members with annual bonus grants based on key performance indicators and the financial performance of the Company. Bonus amounts are contingent as they are driven by the profitability of the Company.

Anticipated Starting Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 annually. The compensation range provided is in compliance with state specific laws. Factors that may be used to determine your actual rate of pay include your specific skills, years of experience and other factors.
