The Utility Worker will clean totes that contained hazardous and non-hazardous materials. They will support the production and shipping / receiving departments when needed.
Essential Responsibilities In addition, you will:
- Clean totes and manage certification processes per specifications • Perform general maintenance on containers • Perform valve installation on containers • Communicate with office staff on work assignments • Perform basic painting of containers • Record operating data such as process conditions, test results, and instrument readings • Provide back-up to warehouse shippers / receivers • Perform DOT testing requirements of containers per Semi-Bulk ISO reference manual • Generate labels per requirements • Enter SAP transactions to track tote certifications • Monitor and maintain sewer / storm water discharge records • Perform fork truck operations • Perform parts management and inventory • Support EHS, LEAN, and cost improvement programs • Notify maintenance, stationary engineering, and other auxiliary personnel to correct equipment malfunctions and to adjust power, steam, water, or air supplies
Qualifications/Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) • Minimum of 6 months’ experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment with hazardous materials • Experience driving a forklift.
