Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the maintenance and repair of all manufacturing equipment, facilities, and systems.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and reduce costs.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and potential issues.
- Coordinate with production and operations teams to schedule maintenance activities that minimize disruption to production schedules.
- Manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing leadership, guidance, and training.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and manage maintenance budgets and control expenses.
- Source and procure necessary equipment, parts, and supplies.
- Collaborate with external contractors and vendors as needed.
- Implement and improve maintenance procedures and practices to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field is preferred. Significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of food manufacturing equipment and systems, including processing, packaging, and utility systems.
- Proven experience managing a team of maintenance technicians.
- Proficiency in implementing preventive maintenance programs and managing maintenance schedules.
- Solid understanding of safety and regulatory compliance within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with maintenance management software.
