Director of Pharmacy for Inpatient Services
For reputable 320-bed acute care institution, 16 OR, 40-bed ED, and NICU

There are Dual Directors of Pharmacy:
- The Director of Inpatient Pharmacy provides direction to acute care pharmacy services including clinical services and medical safety/compliance.
- This is the other DOP /_ Director of Outpatient Pharmacy oversees growth of outpatient services and pharmacy purchasing _
OVERVIEW - Director of Inpatient Pharmacy
- Oversee implementing Inpatient programs, policy development
- Maintain a comprehensive Medication Management Process to support patient safety and effectiveness
- Oversee Inpatient Pharmacy Budget; monthly financial meeting with Director of Outpatient
- DIRECT REPORTS: Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator, Pharmacy Med Safety Officer, Lead Pharmacist, Lead Tech, Pharmacy Diversion Program Manager, Pharmacy Ops Manager
- Oversee inpatient pharmacists, techs
- Currently decentralized in ICU, ED
- Currently rotate Tele, MedSurg
RESPONSIBILITIES for Director of Inpatient Pharmacy
- Oversee Compliance with rules, regulations, policies, Joint Commission, CMS, and state
- Develop ASHP Pharmacy Residency Program (with clinical coordinator)
- EPIC implementation
- Review USP 800 compliance
- Expand clinical pharmacy services
- Train Preceptors for teaching students/future residents
- Support Director of Outpatient for buildout of Specialty Pharmacy
- Collaborate with Director of Outpatient for Chemo Center and eventually create another in nearby cities.
COMP:
- $180K - $285K annually
- +up to 20% annual bonus
- + Sign On Bonus
