Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Educational Travel Consultant is responsible for building new sales. Specifically promoting and selling WorldStrides school trips to achieve established sales targets. The ETS works with the Director of Sales to identify market opportunities and set sales strategy for defined area, territory or targeted accounts. The ETS will eventually turn over clients to an Account Manager to execute the trip.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Achieve all sales goals and develop new clients
- Develop qualified leads through referrals, phone calls, cold calling, email and networking
- Follow up on leads from website and lead generation team and convert leads to sales
- Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and prioritize activity
- Maintain and grow profitability
- Maintain daily and weekly pipeline and activity reports
- Operate as an expert
- Complete client needs assessment to then prepare and present proposals which meet group requirements
- Host meetings with parent, student, and administrative groups
- Identifies and recommends products to meet market demands
- Recommends territories that should require marketing campaigns
- Maintain current product knowledge
- Participate in regular sales meetings, company meetings and training sessions
- Represent WorldStrides in a positive, ethical and professional manner
- Other responsibilities as assigned

- Demonstrated competitive spirit with a track record of winning
- Goal-focused, self-sufficient individual who takes initiative to grow sales
- Minimum of 2 years of sales experience
- Proven ability to be strategic and see plans to fruition
- Excellent negotiation, conversion and closing skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Willingness to travel
- Willingness to be nimble and change directions as the business requires
- Exceptional work ethic, willingness to work additional hours during seasonal peaks as well as some weekends and evenings
- Exceptional computer skills i.e., Microsoft Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience using CRM preferred
