My Place Hotel is looking for a friendly, detail-oriented employee to join our team as a room attendant! Responsibilities include:

Thoroughly clean all areas of assigned guest rooms and public areas as assigned.

Change linens on every bed, check mattress pads, blankets and bedspreads for cleanliness, stains and tears and sort laundry as directed.

Remove all towels from the guest room and bathroom area and replace with clean towels.

Scrub bathroom vanity, toilet, bathtub, bathroom mirror and bathroom floor.

Cleans bathroom fan using stepstool.
- Stocks guest room and bathroom with clean linens and guest supplies such as towels, soap, shampoo, plastic glasses, comment card and other required and approved supplies and literature.

Opens window to let fresh air into guest room, weather permitting.

Checks television/remote and HVAC unit to make sure they are operational. Clean the HVAC unit filters as required.

Tests the smoke detector to see if smoke detector is operational by using a dowel.

Clean windows in guest rooms and public areas as required.
-
Clean and sanitize guest room ice buckets as required.

Dust all areas of guest rooms including dresser, desk, nightstand, coat rack, HVAC unit, pictures, blinds, windowsill and door frames.

Vacuum guest floor, hallway and public area carpets, checking for any trash behind and under furniture.

Inspects each guest room for bed bugs and other pests.

Honors a "Do Not Disturb" sign on door. Contacts the Guest Service Representative for further instructions.

Takes all lost and found items to the front desk, tagged with room number, article(s), date and name of Room Attendant.
- Using Room Attendant's daily cleaning schedule, note any missing linen or hotel items from guest rooms and any maintenance needed. Contacts Management to report completion of rooms to be checked.

Advises Maintenance Technician or General Manager immediately of any necessary repair or maintenance in guest rooms.

Keeps master key secure, as well as any room keys/key card collected during cleaning of the guest rooms. Give all room keys to the Guest Services Representative at the same time you check in your master key.
- Deep clean guest rooms and public areas as assigned.

Assumes responsibility for careful use of supplies issued for performance of cleaning and maintenance duties.

Restocks and organize Room Attendant's cart and storage areas at the end of the shift.

Empties vacuum cleaners daily and takes trash to the outside dumpster.
-
Keeps housekeeping carts in front of door of guest room being serviced to maintain employee security.
-
Keeps housekeeping carts from blocking hallways for safe guest passage.
-
Immediately reports any potential safety or security hazards to management.

Pay ranges from $17.00 - $19.00 per hour depending on experience.
