The Maintenance Technician & Driver is a full-time position. Approximately 80% of the position will will be spent in Maintenance (work orders, floors, etc.) and 20% on providing transportation for residents in our company bus or van.
Duties
- Complete maintenance work orders as assigned by the Maintenance Director
- Clean floors and carpets with company equipment regularly and/or as needed.
- Serve as a part-time Driver for the community, which includes providing transportation to our residents for scheduled appointments
- Present a professional demeanor that communicates a corporate philosophy of service, goodwill, and genuine interest in each resident’s needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Familiarize yourself with residents of the Community.
- Observe residents’ ability to perform daily ADLs and social skills, communicate potential difficulties or opportunities to the appropriate team member.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Candidate must be at least 18 years of age; Have a high school diploma, or equivalent;
- Possess clear verbal and written communication skills;
- Be able to follow written and verbal directions and apply practical problem-solving skills if needed; Have a positive and energetic attitude;
- Be professional in appearance and conduct;
- Be criminally cleared and have a clean driving record;
- Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks;
- Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment;
- Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening;
- Have dependable transportation and be able to work varying hours as needed.
