OMT-Veyhl is looking for an Associate Project Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, is mechanically inclined, and a drive to deliver the highest quality and on-time delivery of products to our customers.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Associate Project Manager position serves both external customers and internal team members of OMT-Veyhl. This position coordinates product development and engineering change activities in support of sales and business requirements by leading cross-functional teams to meet both internal and external expectations and requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Initiate, kick-off and lead multiple product development projects including engineering changes and products consisting of new and existing technologies.

Develop the project scope and timelines and assure timing, quality and delivery expectations are realistic and achievable.

Responsible for communication and escalation of key project issues impacting cost, quality, timing, resources, and customer specifications.

Manage, monitor, and control costs and schedules of the assigned projects. For new designs, utilize parts, methods, and practices, which are practical and realistic in actual production.

Works with and leads project launch meetings with internal departments.

Communicates and holds regular updates with the customer as necessary.

Assure bill of materials are in place and accurate at time of launch.

Follow initial orders through production and assure quality standards are being met at every step.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with analytical and CAD software.

Requires knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Must be familiar with or possess the ability to obtain familiarity with all assembly and fabrication processes at OMT-Veyhl in order to provide input for design/manufacturing optimization.

Detail oriented to effectively track project schedules and capital spending.

Ability to multitask, as multiple projects/responsibilities will be in process at any time.

Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams/responsibilities and influence groups to work towards common goals.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or another related field

Minimum of 0-3 years of program/project management

Working knowledge of program/project management fundamentals required

Manufacturing experience preferred

CAD 2D and 3D experience preferred
-
ERP/MRP experience preferred
