Job Title: Registered Nurse Long Term Care (LTC)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in Long Term Care (LTC) facilities, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to elderly or disabled individuals who require medical assistance on a long-term basis. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being and safety of residents while promoting their independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' medical needs and develop personalized care plans
- Administer medications, provide treatments, and monitor residents' vital signs
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Coordinate and collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care
- Provide emotional support and comfort to residents and their families
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements and ethical standards in nursing practice
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in long-term care or a related setting
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of geriatric care practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and other healthcare technologies
