St. Joseph's Catholic Church & Academy (SSPX) is currently seeking dedicated and passionate Catholic Teachers to join our team. As a Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students. You will play a vital role in their educational journey, helping them develop essential skills and knowledge and to grow in their Catholic faith.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver lessons that align with the curriculum and educational standards
- Create a safe and supportive classroom environment
- Provide instruction in various subjects.
- Use effective teaching strategies to engage students and promote active learning
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the learning experience
- Implement classroom management techniques to ensure a productive learning environment
- Foster a positive relationship with students, parents, and colleagues
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children or students in an educational setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Must know how to explain mathematical concepts to middle and high school level students, and have a good knowledge of general and physical sciences
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues
- Teachers' Aides will assist our Teachers, take care of meals and recess duties, and take care of other needed tasks around the academy
SALARY IS NEGOTIABLE.
*Practicing Traditional Catholic is preferred* (Homeroom teachers instruct students in the Catholic Catechism, and all teaching is meant to be steeped in a Catholic spirit)

The Traditional Latin Mass is offered for the students twice a week. Those who teach at St. Joseph's must be comfortable with attending this form of Mass.
The Academy will require and provide the opportunity to attend the Catholic Teacher Seminar in the summer, in order to understand the philosophy of being a Catholic teacher and receive practical training for the job.
Weekly Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - 7:30 am - 3:15 pm
Wednesday - 7:30 am - 1:45 pm
