Summary:
The LPHA coordinates and implements drug education curriculum activities in schools, facilitates programming for youth, conducts outreach to new schools and community locations to build partnerships, plans and facilitates Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) prevention, education, and intervention services, including but not limited to: school based programs, teacher and community meetings, education workshops and, builds and maintains relationships with schools and community centers, participates in collaborative relationships between Prodigy Healthcare Inc. and established partners and provides mandated drug counseling services.
The LPHA divides time between facilitating early intervention counseling, providing alcohol and drug counseling, leading employee workshops, assisting counselors with outreach efforts, and attends mandated meetings/trainings. Special projects may also be required as they relate to Prodigy Healthcare Inc. substance abuse counseling goals.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Alcohol and drug counseling with youth and young adults
- Attending meetings and coordinating efforts with other stakeholders, as required
- Other duties as assigned.
Primary Objectives:
- Implement Clarity for Youth services by providing alcohol and drug counseling, employee workshops, and mandated counseling
- Outreach to schools, community centers, and stakeholders as it relates to department contract needs
- Attend meetings and trainings and coordinate services with other stakeholders and service providers
Specific Responsibilities:
- Keeping well-written and clearly organized case notes
- Documentation and Excel tracking
- Working with stakeholders
- Conducting outreach to clients and other stakeholders
- Attending trainings and staff development events
- Meet productivity requirements as outlined by Clinical Supervisor.
- Providing alcohol and drug counseling services to youth and adolescents
Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
Must be an LPHA or License Eligible with BBS registration (APCC, AMFT, ACSW)
The ideal candidate would have a strong understanding of the drug treatment education landscape.
In addition, the following are strongly desired:
- A commitment to and a passion for the mission, vision, and values of Prodigy Healthcare Inc.
- Experience on issues of substance abuse and mental health
- Demonstrated success in outreach efforts and public speaking
- An ability to lead in an environment that requires effective collaboration
- A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work, sociology, or psychology, is highly preferred.
Work Environment:
This job will be primarily located at the school campus in Fresno County, CA. While performing the responsibilities of the job, these work environment characteristics are representative of the environment the job holder will encounter.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38.00 - $48.00 per hour
