JOB SUMMARY:
The Layout Planner & CNC Router Operator is responsible for using computer-based programs and CNC router machines to produce high quality signage components.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize CAD-based software to create full-size layouts that will be used by the CNC router machine to cut lettering and designs into various materials such as aluminum, plastic, wood and PVC.
- Set up, load, position, and operate CNC router equipment.
- Monitor machinery and material to ensure product quality and to detect any issues.
- Perform housekeeping and clerical tasks, such as clearing the CNC router table, cleaning off parts, and labeling parts.
- Follow procedures and standard practices to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Other tasks assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of (2) years of experience using a CAD-based program to perform layout or design work.
- Experience with CNC manufacturing a plus.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. and use arms and hands to reposition materials.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time to perform computer layout work and stand for long periods of time at the CNC router table.
- Ability to train during the day shift and transition to the night shift after training is complete.

Pay: $23.17 - $33.54 per hour
