Based out of the West Chester Library, you'll create, produce, edit, and share engaging digital content that promotes library collections, services, and programs. You'll design and produce on-brand print marketing material as well as manage social media platforms and assist with community and in-library events as needed. You'll also work collaboratively and individually to market and promote the library's mission, programs, collections, and activities, as well as develop content to reach out to the community to introduce new library users to the library and create beneficial partnerships with other groups, agencies, and organizations in the library's service area.
To be successful you:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. A bachelor's degree in a job-related field or equivalent relevant experience is required. Certification in graphic design is highly desired.
Minimum of 2 years graphic design experience is needed.
- Excellent graphic design skills, particularly with Adobe Creative Suite, is needed.
- Video production and editing experience is required.
- Must be able to produce visually appealing and eye-catching products.
- Experience with social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and other new media and digital tools as well as learn new platforms is needed.
- Must have excellent computer skills including MS Office Suite, web page, desktop publishing, graphics programs, the Internet, and file sharing.
- Must be able to effectively collaborate, problem solve, be organized, efficient, flexible, detail-oriented, focused, creative, innovative, future oriented, dependable, manage change & frequent interruptions, and have excellent time management, organizational & communication skills.
- Must have excellent computer skills & be proficient with various software including graphics programs, Microsoft Office Suite, and the Internet.
Must have the ability to plan, prioritize, manage, and coordinate projects while meeting deadlines.
- Must be able to move carts, crates & library equipment that could weigh up to 75 pounds.
- Must have regular & predictable physical attendance & punctuality.
As part of the Community Engagement team, you would develop materials, video, and print content to promote library services, collections, programs, events, to increase public awareness of the library.
HOURS:
Typically Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, some nights and weekends as needed.
SALARY:
The pay range for this job is $20.85 - $32.50, the pay rate will depend on job factors such as experience, job skills, education, and languages spoken.
