Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Philanthropy Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive philanthropic strategy to secure funding from various sources. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for philanthropy, excellent communication skills, and a knack for building relationships. The Philanthropy Manager will be responsible for managing and growing our organization's philanthropic portfolio, which includes grant writing, fundraising, and donor relations.
Duties:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive philanthropic strategy that aligns with the organization's mission and goals.
- Identify and pursue new funding opportunities, including grant writing, proposal writing, and research.
- Manage and maintain a portfolio of grants and donors to include large corporations, ensuring timely reporting and compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and execute fundraising events, campaigns, and other initiatives.
- Utilize social media management and email marketing tools, such as Constant Contact, to engage with donors and promote philanthropic opportunities.
- Utilize salesforce to track and analyze fundraising efforts, identify trends, and optimize strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, foundations, and other stakeholders to ensure a consistent flow of funding.
- Provide exceptional donor service, including regular communication and acknowledgement of gifts.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure seamless integration of philanthropic efforts with other fundraising strategies.
- Stay up-to-date on best practices in philanthropy and fundraising, incorporating new ideas and strategies into the organization's approach.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as non-profit management, marketing, or communications.
- At least 3 years of experience in philanthropy, fundraising, or a related field.
- Proven track record of securing grants and donations from foundations, corporations, and individual donors.
- Strong research and writing skills, with the ability to write compelling grant proposals and reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with donors and stakeholders.
- Experience with social media management and email marketing tools, such as Constant Contact.
- Proficiency with salesforce and kindful.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with estate planning and philanthropic strategies, including planned giving and major gifts and working with corporations.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $51,418.00 - $68,000.00 per year
