Our Makers Lab is in the build-out phase and we need a passionate teacher to be part of the design and construction stages.
Position Overview
As a Robotics and STEM Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering students' curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills. You will lead hands-on projects, guide students in designing and building robots, and facilitate explorations in coding, engineering principles, and problem-solving. Your enthusiasm for STEM subjects will ignite a passion for learning in our students and prepare them for success in the digital age.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging robotics and STEM curriculum for middle and high school students.
- Lead instructional activities, including lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on projects.
- Provide individualized support and guidance to students, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
- Organize and oversee robotics competitions, STEM clubs, and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to integrate robotics and STEM concepts across disciplines.
- Stay current with advancements in robotics technology and educational best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, STEM-related field, or equivalent experience.
- Previous teaching experience, preferably in robotics, engineering, or related fields.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Dedication to fostering a culture of innovation, inquiry, and lifelong learning.
